Job Description:
Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wealth Management Services Operations Manager to lead their Asset Control team. This pivotal role involves overseeing comprehensive asset servicing for trust accounts, ensuring accuracy in operations, compliance with regulations, and achieving service level objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic approach to process improvement and risk mitigation, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment. Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the asset servicing team, ensuring compliance with both internal and regulatory standards.
  • Drive the implementation of process enhancements and strategic projects to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Provide leadership and direction to team members, including performance management, training, and development to build a high-performing team.
  • Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to optimize service outcomes.
  • Monitor and manage operational risks, implementing controls and corrective actions to mitigate risk exposures.
  • Prepare and review operational and management reports, analyzing data to inform decision-making and report to senior management.
  • Ensure the accurate setup, maintenance, and reporting of trust account assets, adhering to all compliance and procedural requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10-12 years of experience in wealth management operations, securities and/or cash processing, or securities operations.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a managerial capacity overseeing financial operations teams.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage, develop, and motivate a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and best practices in asset management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex operational issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance and risk management within financial services.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and commitment to operational excellence.
  • Certifications such as Certified Securities Operations Professional (CSOP) or Certified Trust Operations Professional (CTOP) are highly preferred.
