Job Title: Wastewater Project Manager
Job Description
This role involves managing the construction for the upgrade of an existing Wastewater Treatment Plant. You will be responsible for maintaining the old operating Treatment Plant while the new one is being built, ensuring seamless coordination and communication with the resident engineer and subcontractors.
Responsibilities
* Manage daily onsite communication with the client.
* Oversee construction for the upgrade of an existing Wastewater Treatment Plant.
* Coordinate and work alongside the Resident Engineer on site.
* Maintain the old operating Treatment Plant while the new one is being constructed.
* Manage subcontractor coordination.
* Ensure the project remains within budget.
* Review plans and specifications to ensure the project remains on schedule.
* Process RFIs' and Change Orders.
Essential Skills
* 10+ years of experience managing Wastewater Construction projects or Wastewater Facility Plants.
* Expertise in processing Change Orders and submittals.
* Proficiency in schedule management.
* Ability to manage contractors on-site.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Experience in Wastewater plant operations.
* Construction Management.
* Civil and Preconstruction knowledge.
Work Environment
The role is based onsite at the PVSC Plant in Newark, NJ, working 5 days a week. Candidates should be comfortable working in an environment that can be dirty and smelly. The typical working hours are from 7 am to 3 pm, with minimal overtime expected. You will be the sole representative on site, working closely with contractors to ensure project success.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
