As a member of the Civil Helicopters Warehouse Team, this role is responsible to control & manage spare parts within the warehouse environment in accordance and compliance with all processes, systems and tools set by the Manager Civil Material Support and Logistics (MS&L) to enable service delivery excellence.

Reporting to the Team Lead Civil Back Office (Bankstown), this role is responsible for the coordination of all warehousing and storage services for the Ardmore location required to support service delivery, whilst strictly adhering to company health and safety policy and regulations.

This Will Include But Is Not Limited To

  • Ensure all spare parts are received efficiently and dispatched accordingly within the required time frame to meet respective KPIs such as OTD, OTR and fill rate.
  • Ensure all cross docks are processed and prioritised under OTR5b KPI (2nd shipment)
  • Ensure all picking requests are up to date and sent on time with the either customer console or ADHOC shipping requests
  • Ensure all inwards products, received from internal customers and external vendors are subjected to the companies receiving inspection process and comply with AAP QMS, European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), CAA (NZ only) and (CASA Australia only)
  • Ensure that all dispatched products are packaged appropriately taking into account the product, method of transportation and destination as per the request received
  • Identify areas for improvement, developing and implementing best practice procedures for this function

Additional responsibilities as the Technical Lead include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee and prioritise daily warehouse operations, and supervise warehouse activities, coordinate & delegate workload
  • Be the focal point for the warehouse team on the floor
  • Provide warehouse layout and storage suggestions
  • Conduct regular Gemba walks & warehouse inspections, making sure the warehouse is tidy and compliant with our process & procedures
  • Provide training for new employees, refresher training for existing staff and be the subject matter expert for the team on the floor.

To be successful in this role, it is a requirement to be able to work in a small but high performing team environment, have well developed relationship skills as well as good verbal and written skills. You will need to be someone who is able to work autonomously and to tight deadlines and work comfortably in a continuous improvement work environment.

The skills and experience best suited to this role include:

  • Cert III Warehouse or equivalent with high level of knowledge of warehouse and storage principles
  • Forklift License
  • Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software - System Applications and products (SAP) experience
  • Experience in the Aviation industry or other related industry
  • Broad knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations (e.g. DASR, CASA, EASA, NZCAA, FAA, ITAR, export and import controls), standards and best practices relevant to warehouse and storage.
  • Proven warehouse experience and knowledge of end-to-end supply chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) (On Time Delivery, On Time Request, receiving, put away, pick and pack, storage and shipping)
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and customer satisfaction

This role must be able to be placed on the duty on call roster to support AOG situations out of hours.

You must also be able and willing to handle dangerous goods (DG) for inbound, storage & outbound requirements. DG certificate is required and will be renewed closer to due date by Airbus.
