As Warehouse Supervisor you will have the opportunity to become part of a world-class team and manage the logistics of an innovative Duty-Free retail leader. The Warehouse Supervisor will be a self-motivated, high-energy person with exceptional organizational skills and strong desire to help the company achieve best-practice performance in workplace safety, warehouse and equipment management and operations. Perform functions to supervise and direct warehouse operations in a Bonded, Facility Union environment. Automated and fast pace, productivity driven with strict adherence to US Customs rules and a keen awareness for warehouse safety. Operation with weekend coverage rotation and significant seasonal overtime. Ability to supervise 15 plus employees in an operation to accommodate 3000+ shipments to the cruise ships yearly, utilizing multi layered warehouse management software and RF technology.
What You’ll Be Doing
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under direction from Sr. Warehouse Manager, supervise staff of 15 plus employees measuring against set plans and productivity levels
- Review reporting to measure productivity and address lack of productivity in a timely manner
- Supervise single and or multiple departments to monitor manual and systematic receiving, processing, put-away, picking and shipping
- Work cross-departmentally with other company departments to achieve daily tasks
- Direct the picking, packing, and movement of designated merchandise
- Maintain the building’s integrity concerning inbound, outbound and/or inventory through consistent monitoring practices
- Tracks day-to-day facility inventory costs and SKU velocity in the Distribution Center
- Manage the facility cycle count program, including tracking productivity by day, week and month
- Prepare and analyze the lost & found report to identify potential shrink at the dollar cost / unit level and react to variances accordingly
- Familiar with customs bonded warehouses and required customs forms such as 7512 / 6043 documents for accuracy and compliance
- Manage archive of all documents according to established standards
- Able to respond to any equipment maintenance request in a timely manner to prevent lack of productivity
- Identifies and promptly resolves safety, production equipment and communication problems which prevent the department from meeting deadlines
- Coordinates and/or deliver all training required to ensure excellence in employee health and safety in the company
- Ensures associates comply with corporate, distribution center, departmental policies and procedures and bargaining unit agreement
- Progressive discipline skills including coaching employees consistent with union contracts
- Attend production meetings daily, present daily production reports
- Prepare and present reports to management and conduct department updates in facility wide meetings
- Maintains a high level of safety, quality and department morale
- Ability to include independently opening, closing and securing of the facility
- Provides training and guidance that encourages the steady growth and development of capable contributing employees
- Perform other duties as assigned
What we’re looking for:
Qualifications
Education And Experience
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 Years supervisory experience in a bonded warehouse
- Experienced with WMS systems and RF units
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and be fluent in English and ideally, Spanish.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Experienced with WMS systems and RF software and hardware
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications such as Excel, Access, Word and other Microsoft Office Products
- Responsible for training personnel, reviewing and explaining work, and enforcing company rules and regulations.
- Ability to plan effectively
- Facilitate employee grievances according to union labor contract.
- Maintain equipment, keep clean and orderly work areas and eliminate safety hazards.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Some flexibility in hours is permitted, employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday and must work 30 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Physical Demands
Office environment with frequent sitting, walking and standing, occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand and finger coordination enabling use of office machinery. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Oral and auditory enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication automated devise such as the telephone.
