Responsibilities
Provide departmental support and lead the staff in the Distribution department.
- Check contents of orders picked assembled by the order pickers.
- Compare the quantity, quality, labeling, and address with the customers to ensure that outgoing shipments are complete and correct.
- Safely and effectively operate a forklift while assisting in loading or unloading of merchandise moving into or out of the warehouse as needed.
- General business support function as assigned.
- Hourly Range $19.14 - $21.25
- This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At NEU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for this role.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse, distribution and/or transportation
- Must have experience working in inbound, outbound, inventory and/or VAS
- Must be able to demonstrate leadership skills
- Strong teamwork skills and inclination
- Good communications skill – listening, providing and receiving feedback
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Strong computer skills- Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate or significant or relevant or appropriate working experience
- Ability to frequently stand, bend, twist, reach, lift, push, pull, carry heavy objects in a warehouse setting.
- Must be flexible with working hours including working overtime
