We are seeking a Wide Area Network (WAN) Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) with experience working with Software Defined Networking (SDN). You will develop, operate, and maintain complex technology systems using engineering principles, theories, and concepts, and evolve them with advanced technology solutions on-site in the San Diego, CA area. Pay Range: $102,000 to $164,000, depending on experience and education. You Will: * Design and implement software-defined networking solutions. * Perform systems engineering services in all phases of a project life cycle. * Develop and maintain technical system documentation related to system configuration, troubleshooting, and traceability. * Provide expert level knowledge in systems engineering and information technology. * Provide technical leadership within a team of both government and industry in the planning, investigation, design, and implementation of physical and logical WAN routing and networking solutions. * Develop SDN solutions across software and hardware to solve problems and implement enhancements. * Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related taskings as needed. You Have: * U.S. Citizenship. * A Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret level Security Clearance or be able to obtain an interim clearance prior to hire date. * Strong foundation in networking. * In-depth knowledge of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and other Cisco SDN components. * Proficiency in network security principles and access control policies to include multicast. * Minimum of six (6) years' experience engineering solutions for one or more of the following technologies: Cisco Switches, Cisco Routers, Cisco Firewalls, Cisco ISE, Juniper. * Experience in engineering and administering WAN solutions. * Experience in Quality of Service (QoS) technology engineering. * The ability to work in a dynamic, high-paced, team environment. * Experience with automation software such as Ansible or Python. * Experience with MS Visio software. Certifications: * AIT Level II Security Certification (CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SCCP) * Cisco OS Certification; (CCNA, CCNP, CCNP Security, CCIE Security or similar certifications) Wed Be Impressed If You Had: * Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or another STEM field * Experience supporting the engineering of DOD Afloat Network Systems such as CANES, ADNS, CENTRIXS, SCI Networks, SUBLAN * Relevant SDN certification * Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification * Experience with US Navy RF systems * Data Center Networking experience * Solutions Development experience * Network DEVOPS experience Want to hear more?
