Summary

The Vice President, Transportation & Infrastructure will lead high-impact client engagements, develop policy strategies, and represent client interests before Congress and the Executive Branch. This is a unique opportunity to help shape federal policy and funding decisions during a pivotal moment for national infrastructure and economic development. BSP’s client portfolio ranges from innovative early-stage start-ups to Fortune 500 companies.

About The Role

The Vice President will be a key leader in BSP’s Transportation and Infrastructure practice. Focus areas include surface transportation, freight and logistics, EV infrastructure, project permitting and delivery, and federal infrastructure funding programs. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of federal transportation policy, strong relationships with active Republican Members of Congress, staff, and agency officials, and a proven ability to execute strategic client work.

  • Client Engagement Leadership. The Vice President will serve as a principal point of contact for clients—helping them navigate complex legislative and regulatory landscapes, shaping policy strategies, and delivering tangible results. Working with limited supervision, you’ll be responsible for managing multiple workstreams, developing client-facing materials, and driving execution across projects.
  • Content Development and Project Management. The Vice President will lead the creation of policy memos, legislative analyses, regulatory comments, and strategic communications. In addition to writing and editing, you’ll oversee project timelines, manage deliverables, and collaborate directly with clients’ legal, policy, and business teams.
  • External Relationships and Political Intelligence. The Vice President will bring a strong network of relationships with Republican policymakers and senior officials, engaging on behalf of clients through direct lobbying, coalition building, and participation in high-level meetings. You will monitor developments across Capitol Hill and federal agencies, translating insights into timely advice and action.
  • Policy and Advocacy Strategy. The Vice President will design and execute federal advocacy strategies related to infrastructure deployment, mobility, permitting reform, and more. You’ll work closely with key congressional committees—such as T&I, EPW, and Commerce—and relevant Executive Branch agencies to help clients advance their priorities.
  • Business Development. In close coordination with BSP’s senior leadership, the Vice President will support new business development efforts, including identifying opportunities, drafting proposals, and helping onboard new clients.

  • This is a hybrid role and is expected to work from the DC office 3 days a week.
