While providing strategic direction, the VP OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY will also need to roll up their sleeves and dive into the details when necessary to ensure successful project execution. Key Responsibilities: * Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the technology strategy to support OpenTech's business objectives and growth plans. * IT Management: Oversee the IT department, ensuring efficient operation of all systems and infrastructure, and managing a team of technology professionals. * Security and Compliance: Ensure robust cybersecurity measures are in place and comply with relevant regulations and standards, including PCI, GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable data protection laws. * Vendor Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions while adhering to contractual obligations and maintaining compliance with legal standards. * Budget Oversight: Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and compliance with financial regulations. * Data Management: Oversee data governance and ensure the integrity, availability, and security of company data, complying with industry standards and legal requirements. * Collaboration: Work closely with other executives to align technology initiatives with business needs and drive cross-functional projects. * Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement (Kaizen) within the IT department and across the company. * Positive Vibes: Promote a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork. * Passion and Innovation: Inspire and drive a passion for technology and innovation within the team, ensuring OpenTech remains at the forefront of the self-storage industry. * Doing it Right: You will ensure that all IT initiatives and projects are done in accordance to the highest standards and best practices. Qualifications * Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. * Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior IT leadership role, preferably within the technology or self-storage industry. * Hold relevant certifications * Proven record of developing and executing successful IT strategies that drive business growth and operational efficiency. * Extensive experience with IT infrastructure management, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, and digital transformation initiatives. * Extensive experience in the Microsoft 365 (Entra) environment. * Strong leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing IT teams. * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership and external partners. * Solid financial acumen, with experience in managing budgets, controlling costs, and delivering projects on time and within budget. * In-depth knowledge of industry standards, compliance requirements, and risk management best practices. * Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements in the technology and data management sectors.
