In the role of VP Data Architect, you'll develop and implement a long-term strategic vision for the organization's data architecture. Success in this role requires exceptional big-picture thinking and problem-solving skills, tactful collaboration with business unit leadership, IT leadership, staff, and data stakeholders. This role will also require extensive experience with designing, creating, managing and deploying data architecture, both as a strategist and as an operator. Responsibilities Design and implement data models and databases Develop and maintain data integration processes Ensure data quality and security across systems Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs. Partner in the creation and management of data governance policies. Define and implement enterprise data architecture strategies to support business goals. Establish a roadmap for data management, including data modeling, integration, and analytics. Collaborate with business and IT leaders to align data strategies with organizational objectives. Partner in the oversight of data governance policies, ensuring data security, quality, and compliance. Identify success metrics/KPI's to measure success/effectiveness. Qualifications Bachelor's degree is required; an MBA or other advanced degree is preferred, or a comparable level of knowledge and experience that would typically be gained through a combination of a degree and experience. Experience attracting strong talent, building and managing a high-performing team in a results-oriented and fast-paced environment. Prior industry experience (Warehousing and Distribution, Transportation, Supply Chain, or 3rd Party Logistics) is a plus. Experience with database management systems (e.g. SQL, NoSQL). Proficiency in data modeling tools and technologies. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
