Role Overview

Guest-Tek is seeking a VOD Hardware Integrator to support the integration of third-party hardware components (TVs, STBs, Appliances) with our software products. This role involves hands on testing, troubleshooting, firmware tracking, and maintaining Video-On-Demand (VOD) hardware while collaborating with vendors and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform field acceptance and beta testing of new hardware integration with our internal products and software.
• Establish and maintain relationships with hardware vendors.
• Maintain VOD equipment in the training facility and test lab.
• Manage certification and configuration documentation for VOD hardware.
• Assist in diagnosing escalated field integration issues.
• Support development testing and quality assurance for hardware-related software components.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or comparable job experience.
• Proficiency in Linux OS and networking protocols.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience with serial communication protocols (an asset).
• Familiarity with media-related hardware (e.g., set-top boxes, video servers, TVs, media hubs).
• Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, HTML, PHP, CSS (an asset).
• Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL (an asset).
