Visiting Assistant Professor is a non-tenure position, renewable annually. Essential Functions * Main teaching responsibilities include introductory and upper-level undergraduate and graduate finance courses. * Evidence of outstanding teaching or teaching potential is essential. * The teaching load is six courses per year. Other Duties and Responsibilities * Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses related to finance. * Be flexible relative to the teaching schedule. * Attend regular School of Business and University meetings. * Leverage Blackboard learning management system and publishers' online learning materials. * Participate in the School of Business's shared governance. Minimum Qualifications Candidates should have a commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment for a diverse student body. Master's degree is required in Finance, or MBA with specialization in Finance. Preferred Qualifications PhD in finance or economics or significant industry experience. Working Conditions/Physical Requirements Employee is subject to indoor work, protected from weather conditions. Work is sedentary in nature and involves exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently/constantly in order to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move object. Occasional evening and weekend obligations.
