Visiting Assistant Professor Department of Chemistry St. Edward's University, a nationally ranked, independent Catholic university and Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI), invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, Visiting Assistant Professor position in the Department of Chemistry, beginning August 2025 St. Edward's is characterized by its commitment to the Holy Cross educational mission of educating the hearts and minds of a diverse student body deeply committed to social justice. The successful candidate will teach introductory chemistry courses and participate in other school and department service activities. Successful candidates will demonstrate potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching. Essential Responsibilities Include: Candidates should have the interest and ability or potential to teach various undergraduate courses and support a diverse student body. Other essential responsibilities include: * Teaching four courses per semester according to departmental needs. * Teaching introductory courses in chemistry, to both majors and non-majors. * Participating in other school and department service activities, where applicable. * Opportunities to teach upper division courses according to the candidate's expertise. * Other duties as assigned The University offers an excellent TOTAL REWARDS package!
