Job Description
As a VDI Engineer, you'll lead Citrix operations and drive migration to cloud-based solutions like Azure VDI or Windows 365. Balance current performance with future-ready, scalable virtual desktop environments, ensuring seamless integration during acquisitions.
Tasks And Responsibilities
Lead operations and strategic migration from Citrix to cloud-based VDI solutions like Azure VDI or Windows 365.
Optimize and manage Citrix environments (Virtual Apps, NetScaler, WEM, XenServer, etc.) with a focus on performance and cost.
Design, plan, and execute seamless VDI transitions, including onboarding during acquisitions.
Automate tasks using PowerShell and IaC; ensure security via MFA, zero-trust, and compliance policies.
Troubleshoot complex VDI issues and provide expert-level support across hybrid environments.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent with 4-5 years of experience in the field
Proven expertise in Citrix (CVAD, ADC, DaaS, Cloud) and VDI platforms (AVD, Windows 365) with large-scale deployments.
Strong skills in troubleshooting, optimization, automation (PowerShell, IaC), and performance/cost management.
Solid understanding of Azure AD, Entra ID, Intune, GPO, MFA, and hybrid identity/security concepts.
Experience in M&A IT integration and high-availability/disaster recovery for VDI environments.
