About the Position:
The Adjunct Applied Viola Professor will teach individualized lessons, starting August 25, 2025.
Responsibilities:
* Teach Applied Viola during daytime hours on campus;
* Provide leadership to Mason's Viola Studio to include coordination of studio classes as well as on-campus and off-campus performances and events;
* Coordinate recruitment for the Viola Studio;
* Coordinate recitals and juries for the Viola Studio; and
* Participate in the Strings Area initiatives, including performances, faculty recitals, auditions, etc.
Required Qualifications:
* Master's Degree in Music required;
* Successful experience teaching at the college level;
* Desire to work with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds; and
* Established reputation as a Violist including live performances and recordings.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Doctorate in Music.
