About the Role:
As a Videographer & Video Editor at IIS, you’ll be at the heart of India’s elite sports training environment, capturing the grit, passion, and triumphs of the country’s top athletes. From intense training sessions to behind-the-scenes moments and national competitions, your lens will tell the story of their journey to excellence.
You’ll be responsible for bringing these stories to life—filming, editing, and producing high-impact videos that not only showcase athletic performance but also inspire a nation. Key Responsibilities:
Videography & Production
- Capture high-quality video footage of team practices, matches, events, and behind-the-scenes activities.
- Operate and maintain advanced video equipment, including cameras, drones, stabilizers, lighting, and audio gear.
- Set up and adjust lighting and sound to ensure professional-grade output.
- Collaborate with coaches, athletes, and performance teams to document training methodologies and support performance analysis.
Video Editing & Post-Production
- Edit raw footage into engaging and high-quality content using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Final Cut Pro.
- Enhance video quality with motion graphics, slow-motion analysis, sound design, and color correction.
- Maintain an organized video archive for easy retrieval and future reference.
- Optimize videos for distribution across platforms including social media, websites, and internal reports.
Creative Development & Content Strategy
- Partner with the marketing and digital teams to produce promotional and campaign content.
- Stay updated with current trends in sports videography, editing styles, and storytelling techniques.
- Conceptualize and execute athlete-focused videos showcasing their journey, challenges, and achievements.
Project Management & Operations
- Manage multiple video projects concurrently while ensuring timely delivery and consistent quality.
- Plan and execute on-location shoots, including travel to training centers, competition venues, and events.
- Maintain an efficient workflow for video production, editing, and file management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in videography and 1+ years in video editing, preferably with a focus on sports or action-based content.
- Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
- Strong understanding of video composition, lighting, sound recording, and equipment handling.
- Experience in various video styles including cinematic, documentary, and promotional formats.
- Knowledge of motion graphics, color grading, and sound editing is an advantage.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain high production standards under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with athletes, coaches, and marketing teams.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed to support production schedules and event coverage.
Work Environment & Additional Requirements:
- Involves travel to training camps, competitions, and promotional events.
- Must be comfortable working in a high-performance, outdoor sports environment.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver projects efficiently.
- Interest or background in Olympic or competitive sports is preferred.
