What you can expect as our Video Production Manager

We are seeking a creative, strategic, and detail-oriented Video Production Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of video development for high-impact online professional education courses targeted at educators. You will be responsible for the strategic planning and hands-on execution of video content aligned with instructional goals and institutional brand standards.

You will manage all phases of video production—from ideation and pre-production through post-production and final delivery—ensuring that all content is pedagogically sound, engaging, accessible, and produced to the highest professional standards.

You have strong leadership and project management capabilities, and you are able to translate educational objectives into compelling video narratives. You thrive in a collaborative environment, partnering with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and cross-functional teams to deliver content that supports transformative learning experiences.

We’d love to talk with you if you have many of the following:

  • Demonstrated expertise in video production leadership, with experience developing and managing complex content workflows and editorial calendars.
  • Proficiency in professional video and audio editing tools, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, and DaVinci Resolve.
  • Strong working knowledge of studio and field production, including directing talent, operating cameras, managing lighting setups, and capturing high-quality sound.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of editorial standards and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of online learning platforms and learning design principles; experience creating instructional content for LMS platforms such as NovoEd, Moodle, or Canvas is a plus.
  • Familiarity with accessibility and compliance standards, including WCAG and Section 508.
  • Experience working in K–12, higher education, or continuing/professional education contexts.
  • Knowledge of instructional design methodologies and the role of video in the learning experience.
  • Experience commissioning or directing animated or motion graphics content for instructional use.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and external partners through collaborative content development processes.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Video Production, Film, Multimedia, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in video production and media management, ideally in educational, documentary, or instructional content.

Benefits:

We have benefits that put you first, including an employer contributing retirement plan, tuition reimbursement from day one, professional development for our employees, personal days, paid time off and paid sick leave. Our campus is quaint, charming and historical, a perfect mix of legacy and modern buildings. It is located in the heart of Watertown, adjacent to the Charles River and a 5 minute drive from food & entertainment at Arsenal Yards.
