Are you passionate about storytelling through editing? Skilled at turning hours of footage into tightly paced, comedic narratives? We’re looking for a Video Editor to join our growing Creator Services team, remotely, to support complex projects for Underscore Talent.

Your Role:

Requirements Recognition

• Study and analyze both technical and creative requirements for any project before starting work on a project.
• Take into account the brand’s specifics, stylistic features, and target audience.
• High-Quality Video Editing
• Perform edits of various complexity levels (from simple cuts to creating complex visual stories).
• Skillfully combine video, audio, and graphic elements in accordance with approved references and technical tasks.

Working with Text and Subtitles

• Create and proofread subtitles, adhering to stylistic and grammatical standards.
• If necessary, integrate animated titles, text, and graphic inserts into the material.

Proactive Approach

• Continuously increase your expertise — try new tools and editing formats, keep up with trends in video production.

Meeting Deadlines

• Strictly adhere to agreed-upon deadlines and promptly report any risks or delays.
• Quickly resolve any issues that arise during the editing process.

Communication and Availability

• Always be reachable during established working hours to provide quick feedback and collaborate with the team.
• Maintain clear and polite communication with colleagues.

Technical Proficiency

• Work confidently in professional editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.).
• Understand the basics of color correction, audio mixing, and, if necessary, work with visual effects (VFX).
• Know the standards for exporting and optimizing videos for different platforms and devices.

Workflow Organization

• Systematize materials (footage, audio tracks, graphics) for quick navigation and edits.
• Keep track of project versions and maintain order in file structure.

Copyright Compliance

• Have knowledge of using licensed music, photos, and video materials.
• Ensure that the final video contains no copyright violations.

Creative Development

• Stay updated on new technologies, trends, and video editing techniques.
• Contribute to the development of visual storytelling and create new concepts to enhance content.

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 3 years of experience as a video editor, preferably in the entertainment or comedy industry (shows, YouTube, television, festivals, etc.).
• Excellent sense of rhythm, pacing, and comedic timing.
• Skills in color correction, basic sound processing, special effects, titles, and motion graphics.
• Understanding of comedic storytelling structure, and the ability to "support a joke" through editing.
• Ability to work with large volumes of footage, identify the best moments, and assemble them effectively.
• A creative approach while maintaining the defined show format.
• Experience working with YouTube content formats.
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro (After Effects skills are a plus).
• Familiarity with collaborative tools (Frame.io, Google Drive, etc.).
• High level of English proficiency.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including on-the-go revisions.
• Ability to quickly respond to feedback, make edits, and meet deadlines.
• Responsibility for the final quality of the content.
• Sense of humor.
• Creativity without straying from the established format.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Self-organization and stress resistance.
