Job Title: Video Editor & Post-Production Specialist

Location: Jacksonville, FL (In-office)

Company Overview

Format Agency is a Jacksonville-based creative agency fueled by a passionate team of designers, videographers, photographers, and strategists. Since 2017, we’ve helped clients—from small businesses to Fortune 500 brands—bring their stories to life through smart strategy and impactful creative. We believe in clarity, creativity, and results—and that strong visuals paired with intentional messaging can move the needle in any format.

Position Overview

We're looking for a meticulous and creatively-driven Video Editor & Post-Production Specialist to join our growing team. Your focus will be on editing, motion graphics, and post-production work—but you’ll also jump in to shoot when we’re in production-heavy seasons. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically skilled in DaVinci Resolve and the Adobe Suite, and knows how to tell compelling stories through post-production.

This role is in-office and will require flexibility to support shoots around Jacksonville and occasional travel (6–10 weeks per year). Hours may vary with workload and client needs, ranging from 40–60 hours per week.

What You'll Do
  • Own the post-production process from ingest to delivery, including editing, audio mixing, motion graphics, color grading, and QC review.
  • Create animated assets or integrate motion design when needed to enhance storytelling.
  • Work primarily in DaVinci Resolve, with Adobe After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, and Illustrator for select projects.
  • Deliver high-quality edits that align with client goals and maintain Format’s visual standards.
  • Adapt quickly to shifting client requests and evolving project scopes.
  • Maintain an organized workflow and juggle multiple deliverables across clients and industries.
  • Collaborate closely with the internal video, design, marketing, and web teams to ensure alignment and consistency.
  • Assist with on-site production (filming) during peak seasons—this includes setup, camera operation, and directing talent.
  • Maintain gear, software, and assets to ensure readiness for both post-production and live shoots.
  • Be physically present in-office during core business hours unless traveling for shoots.

What You Bring
  • 2+ years of hands-on video editing and motion graphic experience.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing polished edits, animations, and storytelling chops.
  • Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve (or comparable NLE’s) and Adobe After Effects is required.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite tools and post-production workflows.
  • Strong understanding of color grading, sound mixing, transitions, pacing, and visual effects.
  • Experience with camera equipment, lighting setups, and production workflows is a plus. Experience in DaVinci’s Fusion Panel is a big plus.
  • High attention to detail, stellar time management, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A team-first mentality with strong communication skills.
Perks
  • Casual, collaborative, and creative studio environment.
  • 3 weeks paid time off, plus holidays.
  • Health and dental insurance.
  • Opportunities for continued education (conferences, certifications, and more).
  • Work with a passionate team committed to creating meaningful content.
