Summary

JOB SUMMARY AND DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE WORK :

The Vice President of Operations and General Manager (VP/GM) for One Times Square serves as a strategic leader of the property, overseeing all facets of venue operations, guest experiences, event innovation, financial performance, and strategic partnerships. This executive will drive revenue growth, ensure operational excellence, and elevate the property’s global presence while delivering an unparalleled visitor experience. The VP/GM works closely with Jamestown's leadership, the One Times Square team, key stakeholders, and city officials to position One Times Square as the premier entertainment and experiential destination.

Essential Functions

Strategic Leadership & Business Development

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive operational strategy aligned with Jamestown’s global objectives and the unique positioning of One Times Square.
  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams to maximize profitability.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with local and national stakeholders, including city officials, business leaders, and tourism organizations.
  • Lead the strategic planning process to enhance brand awareness and market positioning.

Operations & Venue Management

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring world-class guest experiences and seamless venue functionality.
  • Implement and optimize operational processes to drive efficiency, cost control, and service excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and safety standards.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in facilities management, event execution, and technology integration to deliver innovative and immersive experiences.

Revenue Generation & Sales Strategy

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to drive ticket sales, sponsorships, and corporate partnerships.
  • Develop and implement revenue-enhancing strategies, leveraging One Times Square’s unique digital and physical assets.
  • Drive group sales, VIP experiences, private events, and brand activations.
  • Support the pricing strategies and demand forecasting in collaboration with the Revenue Management team.

Guest Experience & Brand Advocacy

  • Champion One Times Square’s brand identity and ensure all visitor touchpoints align with the company’s vision.
  • Lead efforts to continuously enhance guest satisfaction, leveraging visitor feedback and data analytics.
  • Develop partnerships with global media, tourism boards, and brand influencers to expand One Times Square’s global reach.
  • Oversee the execution of signature events, including New Year’s Eve celebrations, brand takeovers, and immersive activations.

Financial & Performance Management

  • Own the financial performance of the venue, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational success.
  • Ensure financial and operational decisions are data-driven and aligned with long-term growth strategies.

Talent & Organizational Leadership

  • Build and lead a high-performing team across operations, sales, marketing, finance, and human resources.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide mentorship and career development opportunities for team members.

Experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED :

  • 12+ years of leadership experience in large-scale venue operations, attractions, entertainment, or hospitality.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth, operational efficiency, and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Strong knowledge of ticketing, sponsorships, and brand partnerships within the entertainment and attractions industry.
  • Experience in digital experience integration, immersive entertainment, and innovative guest engagement strategies.

Skills & Abilities

  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to lead a team and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple high-profile projects simultaneously.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing multimillion-dollar budgets.

Other

  • Bilingual or multilingual ability a plus.
  • Must be willing to travel as needed for property visits, events, tradeshows, sales missions, and industry conferences.

Regular and reliable attendance, in alignment with standard working hours, plays an essential role in supporting the success of this position. Given the dynamic nature of the travel and tourism industry, team members may occasionally be asked to work flexible schedules that align with the evolving needs of the attractions and affiliated businesses.

All employees are expected to uphold company policies and procedures to ensure the safety, efficiency, and high-quality experience of operating the attraction and related ventures.

This role involves physical activity, including walking through the attraction and standing for extended periods. Tasks may vary in duration and intensity each day and require the ability to operate the necessary equipment with care and dexterity.

Working Conditions

The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Responsibilities may require an adjusted work schedule, travel, and evening/weekend hours to meet deadlines or attend special events.
