Vice President of Strategic Implementation

Position Overview: Apple FCU, a leading financial institution, is dedicated to improving the lives and fulfilling the dreams of our members by providing exceptional service and innovative financial solutions. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Vice President of Strategic Implementation to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving our strategic goals and ensuring the successful execution of our business plans. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exploratory Research: Conduct in-depth exploratory research for proposed strategic initiatives and share findings through comprehensive written research reports.
  • Industry Analysis: Analyze the credit union industry and Apple's position within it. Identify opportunities that align with our strategic goals and generate innovative solutions inspired by ideas from outside our industry.
  • Strategic Proposals: Develop detailed written strategic proposals that cite research, include financial analysis, and outline all risks and opportunities. Present these proposals to Executive Leadership through PowerPoint presentations.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team and the Board of Directors in the strategic planning process. This includes creating strategic plans, setting goals, and prioritizing business plans.
  • Business Plan Administration: Serve as the primary administrator of the Business Plan and Business Plan Backlog. Plan and manage all Executive leadership strategy meetings.
  • Annual Strategic Planning: Act as the primary contributor to the Annual Strategic Planning session. Assist in selecting session facilitators and outside experts and help with session agenda and follow-ups.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree with a Business Major plus a minimum of 7 years working in a high-impact role for a financial institution. An MBA or relevant Master’s Degree is preferred.
  • Experience with strategic planning and financial analysis is preferred.
  • Proven experience in strategic research and analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to conduct effective presentations.
  • Familiarity with credit union terms, policies, procedures, and operations is preferred.
