General Overview: The Vice President of Business Development is responsible for developing and executing on strategic sales initiatives by leading a sales team in identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships to drive sale objectives, and achieve overall success of the Sales department. This position will report to the executive suite and be a crucial role in the company's continued growth.
Responsibilities:
* Develop, organize, and implement sales strategies and technical efforts for all commercial activity of Alpine Silica.
* Build and develop a best-in-class industry leading business development team.
* Provide vision, leadership, and planning goals to drive sales strategies and technical efforts company-wide to achieve sales initiatives.
* Drive internal partnerships with Executive team, Commercial Operations, Plant Managers, and other internal personnel to ensure customer expectations are met.
* Demonstrate and develop strong understanding of underlying business segment along with an understanding of customer's business needs within assigned region.
* Maintain thorough knowledge of market penetration, market development, and other similar strategies to maintain sales pipeline.
* Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required. MBA preferred.
* 10 or more years Business Development experience in the Oil & Gas industry with proven success in identifying, generating, and maintaining sales results individually and through leading teams.
* Demonstrated track record of success through bringing in new accounts, creating and maintaining a consistent pipeline of opportunities, generating new revenue, or other similar KPI's.
* Knowledge of business and management principles including strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
* Demonstrated success developing and executing sales strategies in the proppant/frac sand industry preferred.
* Proven communication and organizational skills to coordinate, communicate, and implement company goals.
* Sensitive to confidential information.
* Must work independently and as a member of team.
