How you'll make an impact
Gallagher is seeking to recruit a Vice President of Human Resources to support corporate leaders, to include the Chief Financial Officer, General Counsel, Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Information Officer, and Global Chief Service Officer, as well provide strategic guidance to the Gallagher Center of Excellence (GCOE). S/he will develop and implement talent strategies that address the needs of Gallagher. In an environment marked by increased M&A activity and global expansion, Gallagher looks to Human Resources leaders to guide change management, measure engagement and tie Gallagher culture to business results.

* Leaders of enterprise Human Resources Centers of Excellence, including HR Transformation, HR Technology, and Talent Acquisition
Key Responsibilities
* Own Human Resources strategy and deliverables for Gallagher corporate functions in support of profitable business operations; providing leadership and focus to advance the company's vision.
* Act as senior-level advisor to executives and employees regarding Human Resources trends and issues while ensuring focus remains on equal employment opportunity, legal regulations, diversity measures, mergers and acquisitions, and core growth mandates.
* Provide management, leadership and direction to the Manager level HR professionals aligned to corporate functions support.
* Support Human Resources strategy and leadership in the Gallagher Center of Excellence (GCOE), India.
* Champion effective Talent Management with the goal of identifying, recruiting, developing and retaining top-level talent.
* Manage personally senior-level employee relations matters, acting as the liaison between senior leaders and employees, creating a healthy work environment.
Ideal Experience
* Progressive experience in Human Resources leadership as part of a professional services, financial services, or brokerage environment.
* Advancement of skills and knowledge evidenced through promotion or tenure.
* Sector knowledge in brokerage is desirable.
* Superior project management skills.
* Excellent communication skills shown through clear, structured, and concise written and verbal presentation.
* Demonstrated ability to hire for success, and to manage remote direct reports.
* Demonstrated ability to partner with and communicate across a matrix organization; Fortune 500 experience is desirable.
* Comfort presenting to the Board of Directors at the Fortune 500 level.

About You
Required/Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Emphasis in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology or other Human Resources emphasis desired.
* 10+ years' experience in a senior-level HR function with strong working knowledge of all key functional areas such as employee relations, compensation, and benefits.
* Expert in state and federal employments regulations.
