Gradient Effects, Los Angeles, California is looking for VFX Coordinators who are not only great at their craft, but are also capable of training, critiquing and mentoring others.
Requirements include:
Previous experience as a VFX Production Coordinator
Highly organized, exceptional time/project management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to prioritize conflicting tasks and juggle multiple projects
Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work within a team atmosphere
In depth understanding of live-action and CG based VFX workflow
In depth understanding of common file formats and resolutions
Responsibilities:
Works closely with VFX Producer and Supervisors to schedule, track and manage the workflow in order to meet deadlines
Organize Dailies, rounds and meetings, taking notes and following up on information as necessary
Ensure production database is kept updated daily with notes and key information before departing for the day
Communicate any client sessions or meeting changes to the appropriate team member
Communicating information quickly and concisely to crew and other departments in person, not just via email
Maintain accurate summaries of progress from previous day’s work by artists
Anticipate and communicate issues to Producer and Supervisor to resolve problems promptly
Manage edits along with editorial department
Take responsibility for knowing details of schedule and advising production crew members accordingly
Manage resources and communicate clearly within each department
Provide superlative support under dead-line driven timelines
Helping maintain a upbeat professional production office
