The role of Certification & Verification Engineer is pivotal for the Component Maintenance activities within Fokker Services. As such, you will develop EASA/FAA approved repair procedures in order to generate cost saving solutions and avoid obsolescence on legacy aircraft platforms. These activities will be span multiple areas, ranging from Avionics to Mechanical Systems. You will have the opportunity to work mostly independently and will be responsible for Design, Development, Certification and Introduction of new repair solutions. On top of this, you will be supported by a large team of Product Engineers. The Certification & Verification Engineer will report to the Teamlead Engineering and will liaise with the component repair shops and Product Owners in order to achieve goals and objectives. • Development of engineered minor repair solutions in accordance with airworthiness requirements; • Development and creation of cost saving engineering initiatives; • Justification and verification of failure classifications in accordance with EASA/FAA regulations; • Development of engineering solutions in order to avoid obsolescence on legacy aircraft platforms; • Monitoring of new technologies, selection of potential applications and translation into repair development; • Preparing, checking and approving certification reports. Wat vragen wij van jou? To succeed in this role you should bring the following skills and experience: • A Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering at HBO level (minimum); • A strong affinity with aircraft (component) design and operations; • Knowledge of system design and safety assessments related to Aerospace Engineering; • Experience with Aviation regulations, preferably EASA Part 145 and Part 21; • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills; • Excellent communication skills both in Dutch and English; • Demonstrated ability to create plans and rationalize priorities; • Demonstrated ability in clear communication towards internal and external stakeholders
