Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).

Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.

Position:

The Venue Broadcast Operations Manager is responsible for the effective and timely delivery of all broadcast-related services and infrastructure for Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) and Media Rights Holders (MRHs) across assigned competition and non-competition venues. The primary objective of this role is to ensure the successful setup and operational readiness of broadcast facilities and services in line with established timelines, meeting the standards and specific requirements of the stakeholders.

Working closely with multiple functional areas (FAs) within the Venue Team, the Venue Broadcast Operations Manager will coordinate all aspects of broadcast facilities and services delivery. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure that all operational activities, from spaces to services readiness, are executed according to the established Timelines and in full compliance with Event Policies and Protocols. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting OBS and MRHs in delivering their operations efficiently and without disruption during Games Time, while troubleshooting and facilitating cross-team collaboration.

  • Oversee and coordinate the implementation of broadcast infrastructure and services within the assigned venue.
  • Address any issues related to broadcast infrastructure or services that may arise during the event, providing quick resolutions to minimize impact on broadcast operations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between OBS, Media Rights Holders, and OCOG Venue team to ensure all broadcast requirements are met.
  • Provide ongoing support to OBS and MRHs during venue operations, troubleshooting issues and facilitating effective communication within OCOG Venue Team.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to broadcast planning, execution, and post-event activities. Including: daily reports on venue operations, issues faced, and event progress.
  • Work closely with the Broadcast Venue Manager and other key Broadcast team members to ensure cross-functional coordination, effective communication, and the seamless delivery of venue operations.
  • Take part in daily venue debriefs and other related meetings to discuss challenges and ensure continuous improvement in the delivery of broadcast services.

Requirements:

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of international sports media landscape.
  • Clear understanding of the needs of OBS and Media Rights Holders and knowledge of their activities and work approach both before and during Games Time.
  • Pro-active approach and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.

Experience

  • Experience in detailed planning, implementation and delivery of broadcast operations at international sport events, preferably in previous Olympic Games.
  • Experience in event management, including working with and coordinating suppliers.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Driving License

Foreign Languages

Excellent language skills in both English and Italian is an advantage.

IT Proficiency

IT-experienced, knowledge of usual office software and Internet

Previous Experiences

Experience in previous Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committees or multi-sport events is an advantage.
