Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $26.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).

This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Adult Correction. This position is located at 200 Leagan Dr, Raleigh, NC 27603.
This position will be assigned to the Department of Adult Correction- Central Supply Warehouse.Â
This position is responsible for operating a tractor-trailer unit for the purpose of makingÂ
deliveries and pick-ups throughout the State of North Carolina. Responsible for independentlyÂ
operating a tractor-trailer in a safe and efficient manner; obeying all federal, state, andÂ
departmental transportation and traffic rules and regulations along with adhering to the designatedÂ
routes and delivery scheduled. This position must be able to communicate effectively both orallyÂ
and written with other employees and outside vendors. Must have experience using a computer. DutiesÂ
include
- Â Overseeing and participating in the loading, security and unloading of materials.
- Â Checking quantities and items against delivery tickets.
- Â Completing all necessary paperwork.
- Â Performing routine maintenance evaluations and service on the tractor trailers
- Â Performing any warehouse related tasks or other duties as assigned.

- Current North Carolina Class A CDL License with a clean driving background.
- Demonstrated experience operating a tractor-trailer for extended periods in various road, weatherÂ
- and traffic conditions and during various times of the day.
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal DOT requirements and state requirements.Â
- Demonstrated experience hauling a wide variety of supplies, materials, and equipment.
