GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION


ITAC | Vinçotte is expanding its team and is looking for a Vehicle Cybersecurity Engineer to be assigned to our Turkey operations. You will be at the forefront of protecting next-generation vehicles from evolving cyber threats. Whether it’s connected vehicles or autonomous systems, your expertise will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of the latest automotive technologies.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop Cybersecurity Solutions: Design, implement, and validate advanced cybersecurity solutions for automotive systems.
  • Risk Management: Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability analysis to identify and address security weaknesses in vehicle systems.
  • Compliance with Security Standards: Ensure compliance with global automotive cybersecurity standards such as ISO/SAE 21434 and UNECE WP.29.
  • Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with hardware, software, and systems engineers to integrate security at every stage of vehicle development.
  • Testing and Validation: Develop and conduct penetration tests, fuzz testing, and vulnerability assessments on ECUs, CAN bus, and other in-vehicle networks.
  • Incident Response: Investigate security incidents, develop countermeasures, and establish a robust incident response plan.
  • Stay Up-to-Date: Keep current with automotive cybersecurity threats, technologies, and best practices.


Qualifications:

To be successful in this position, you will need:

Education Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in vehicle cybersecurity, embedded systems, or automotive engineering.
  • Familiarity with in-vehicle networks such as CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and Ethernet.
  • Hands-on experience with security testing tools such as Wireshark, CANoe, or fuzz testing frameworks.


Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of cryptographic algorithms, key management, and secure boot processes.
  • Experience with secure coding practices and software development (C/C++, Python, etc.).
  • Knowledge of cloud-connected vehicle systems and over-the-air (OTA) updates.


Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse, interdisciplinary team.


Additional Requirements:

  • Valid Class B driver’s license with active driving experience.
  • Completion of military service is required for male candidates.
