As a Value Stream Manager, you will be responsible for supporting a manufacturing environment directed by metrics and deadlines. This full-time onsite position is available to start immediately and is a great opportunity in the exciting medical device industry.
Location: Onsite - Draper, UT
Schedule: Monday- Friday
Your Responsibilities
Direct supervision of Production Supervisors and oversight of direct labor force via Production Supervisors
Understanding and practical utilization of manufacturing principles, manufacturing support team roles and responsibilities
Personnel performance input for all related functions and career development of team members including coaching, training, and mentoring
Strategic planning development for short term execution as well as long range planning
Define and Execute priorities relating to safety, people, quality, delivery, and cost.
Interact with support engineering, supply chain, and quality with respect to project schedules
Overall ownership for the Value Stream(s), ensuring a safe work environment that promotes engagement and accountability for its performance
Confirm Targets and Plan for the Value Stream(s), using daily management metrics (SQDC) to conduct fact-based analysis of current state, and drive improvement for future state
Maintain direct and/or indirect leadership of the value stream
Provide guidance to the Director of Manufacturing on the Value Stream(s) performance and needs for improvement
Develop, implement, and sustain standard work/practices
Provide support and knowledge to the production support teams for active problem-solving
Identify, escalate, and remove issues, problems, or roadblocks to the production plan
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related field
Experience as a Value Stream Manager
Minimum of 3-5 years Supervisor experience
Basic understanding of planning practices
LEAN or Six Sigma training and practical application
Utilization of LEAN systems in manufacturing, e.g. Tier boards
Implementation of a LEAN system
Strong communication skills
Listening, questioning, and problem-solving skills
Experience in a high mix/low volume environment
Experience in both manufacturing and technical leadership roles
