As a Value Stream Manager, you will be responsible for supporting a manufacturing environment directed by metrics and deadlines. This full-time onsite position is available to start immediately and is a great opportunity in the exciting medical device industry.

Location: Onsite - Draper, UT

Schedule: Monday- Friday

Your Responsibilities

  • Direct supervision of Production Supervisors and oversight of direct labor force via Production Supervisors
  • Understanding and practical utilization of manufacturing principles, manufacturing support team roles and responsibilities
  • Personnel performance input for all related functions and career development of team members including coaching, training, and mentoring
  • Strategic planning development for short term execution as well as long range planning
  • Define and Execute priorities relating to safety, people, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Interact with support engineering, supply chain, and quality with respect to project schedules
  • Overall ownership for the Value Stream(s), ensuring a safe work environment that promotes engagement and accountability for its performance
  • Confirm Targets and Plan for the Value Stream(s), using daily management metrics (SQDC) to conduct fact-based analysis of current state, and drive improvement for future state
  • Maintain direct and/or indirect leadership of the value stream
  • Provide guidance to the Director of Manufacturing on the Value Stream(s) performance and needs for improvement
  • Develop, implement, and sustain standard work/practices
  • Provide support and knowledge to the production support teams for active problem-solving
  • Identify, escalate, and remove issues, problems, or roadblocks to the production plan
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related field
  • Experience as a Value Stream Manager
  • Minimum of 3-5 years Supervisor experience
  • Basic understanding of planning practices
  • LEAN or Six Sigma training and practical application
  • Utilization of LEAN systems in manufacturing, e.g. Tier boards
  • Implementation of a LEAN system
  • Strong communication skills
  • Listening, questioning, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in a high mix/low volume environment
  • Experience in both manufacturing and technical leadership roles
