Value Plus Estimator | Houston, TX | $69-80K + Bonus
What You Will Be Doing:
Serve as the key interface between Sales and Operations, ensuring seamless communication and execution of company goals.
Interpret and analyze blueprints, CAD files, and customer specifications to determine material and processing requirements.
Develop detailed cost estimates by evaluating labor, materials, tolerances, and geometric dimensions for metal products and assemblies.
Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to negotiate labor and delivery options on a part-level basis.
Manage customer-specific inventory, analyze processing times, and utilize nesting capabilities to optimize efficiency.
Maintain an ongoing dialogue with shipping, credit, purchasing, scheduling, and quality teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
Identify and implement quality control measures such as PPAP, first articles, and recurring inspections.
Validate final purchase orders with buyers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
What We Need From You:
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
2+ years of experience in processing and estimation within a manufacturing environment.
Strong blueprint reading and CAD/drafting experience.
Proficiency in geometry, strong math skills, and a solid technical aptitude.
An Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience.
All-Star Skillset (Preferred Qualifications):
Knowledge of metals and steel processing.
Experience with CNC estimating or programming is a huge plus!
Previous work in manufacturing industries, ideally with steel or heavy materials.
