Job objective
Works directly with the Engineering and Lab teams to develop validation test plans, schedules, risk assessments, internal test specifications to test products and compile reports about this process, so the quality of Stoneridge Orlaco developments and products can be clearly evaluated against
(customer) requirements.
General description of activities
Activities
Responsible for ensuring timely and complete verification and validation testing on products that are being developed by Stoneridge / Orlaco or must be tested in accordance with Conformity of Production requirements.
Defines and realizes testing methods, testing tools and reporting standards for products/projects.
Develop validation test plans from customer engineering/test specifications, product risk assessments, customer reliability requirements, and customer field data.
Develop test procedures, fixtures and setups.
Part of a project team that works closely with various disciplines to make sure that testing complies with all requirements as effectively as possible.
Analyzes test requirements and product definitions, and thus determines testing.
Apply statistical methods to analyze and predict performance.
Creates prototypes.
Completes data and takes care of documentation (test reports).
Manages testing tools for ‘environmental’ tests.
Manages test samples: physical, BoM and target (customers, etc.)
Makes proposals for product improvements.
Supports colleagues.
Performs general activities in the PD department.
Other activities
Safeguards activity planning within project plans.
Responsible for maintenance on required tools.
Shares ideas concerning new developments in (advanced ) engineering. Uses own experience to offer instructions and solutions.
Registers worked hours, along with description of project.
Offers service in the field of product-related testing and research.
Knowledge and Skills
HBO (higher professional education) level of professional and mental skills (Electrical/mechanics).
Knowledge of ISO 17025.
Knowledge of automotive core tools like Design Reviews, DFMEA, DVP&R, 8D, PPAP and APQP
Knowledge of relevant norms, customer requirements and legislation.
Good level of knowledge of the English language, spoken and written.
