Summary
The UX/UI Designer II will be responsible for leading the design efforts for our mobile applications, ensuring an exceptional user experience and visually compelling interfaces. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and other designers, to translate user needs and business goals into intuitive and engaging mobile designs.
What You'll Do

Applies a user-centered design approach to all product solutions
Participates in user research activities to gather insights into user behaviors, needs, and preferences and utilizes findings to inform design decisions and improvements
Creates prototypes and wireframes to visualize and test design concepts, ensuring alignment with user requirements and project goals
Responsible for UI design tasks such as icons, illustrations, screen designs, component design and prototyping in Figma.
Documents design patterns and design systems
Defines “best practices” and utilizes insights to provide robust UX deliverables that support the Whisker product vision
Uses insight for UX/UI decisions from user research, usability tests, analytics, interviews and observations
Fosters collaboration with cross-functional teams including but not limited to product management, engineering, marketing and customer experience, to integrate user-centric design principles throughout the product development process
What You'll Bring

Bachelor’s Degree in User Experience/User Interface Design
6+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design, with a significant portion focused on mobile applications.
Portfolio showcasing strong visual design skills and a solid understanding of user-centered design principles/processes.
Experience leading design projects and working in cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Products, and other relevant software.
Strong understanding of mobile-first and responsive design principles.
Experience with user research methods, including user interviews, usability testing, and persona development.
Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and pixel perfect designs.
Strong knowledge of iOS and Android design guidelines and best practices.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and lead discussions.
Experience in mentoring and guiding junior designers, fostering a collaborative and learning-focused environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to design challenges.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information.
Creative thinker with a passion for user-centered design.
Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics and consistency.
Team player who thrives in a collaborative work environment.
Adaptability to evolving project requirements and user needs.
