Summary

Overview:


We are looking for a talented and collaborative UI/UX Designer to join our dynamic software development scrum teams. In this role, you will work closely with our dedicated graphic design team to bring wireframes to life and ensure a seamless, user-centered design experience across web and mobile platforms. You will be a key player in transforming concepts and wireframes into intuitive, visually appealing, ADA compliant, and highly functional user interfaces that enhance the overall user experience.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with Scrum Teams: Work within agile scrum teams alongside developers and product managers to define and design effective UI/UX solutions.
  • Wireframe Refinement: Partner with our graphic design team to transform initial wireframes into high-fidelity prototypes and detailed UI designs for both web and mobile applications.
  • User Research & Testing: Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on designs to improve user experience continuously.
  • UI Design:
  • Develop visually appealing and intuitive interfaces that meet business goals while focusing on simplicity, usability, and accessibility, including ADA compliance.
  • Develop visual design and interactivity of a product's interface, including layout, colors, typography, and icons. Create visually appealing and intuitive interface that is easy for users to navigate and interact with.
  • Designing screens, components, and interactions that users will view and use.
  • UX Design:
  • Create user flows, personas, and journeys that help inform design decisions and ensure alignment with the needs of our target users.
  • Ensure that the product is easy to use, enjoyable, and meets the needs of the user.
  • Conducting user research, defining information architecture, refining wireframes, and usability testing.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, QA, and other stakeholders to ensure designs are accurately implemented and are responsive across different devices and platforms.
  • Design Documentation: Provide clear, actionable design specs and assets to developers, ensuring consistent implementation of UI elements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on UI/UX best practices, emerging trends, and technologies to continuously improve design processes and product experiences.


Key Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 5+ years of overall experience with proven expertise in the role of a UI/UX Designer with a focus on both web and mobile platforms.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your ability to design high-quality, user-centered interfaces.
  • Experience in creating user-friendly and visually appealing digital applications.
  • Proficient in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, Mockplus or similar. Figma preferred.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and usability.
  • Experience working in an agile/scrum environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams, especially working with graphic designers and developers.
  • Ability to create responsive designs and designs that are accessible and inclusive.
  • Familiarity with front-end development practices (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and justify design decisions effectively.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience in designing for both web and mobile applications.
  • Familiarity with design systems and their implementation.
  • A strong understanding of user testing and feedback incorporation into iterative design.
  • Knowledge of current web and mobile design trends and best practices.
