Job Summary
The UX Designer will be responsible for creating and delivering highly functional designs for new digital products, as well as iterating on existing designs across various platforms. Success in this role requires balancing user research, business requirements, and development capabilities to deliver a consistent digital experience for our Members. This role involves collaborating with agile product teams and our internal design team to drive design excellence through industry best practices and trends. Additionally, the UX Designer will assist with mentoring junior designers or interns and provide support in onboarding new members to the UX Design Team.

Essential Functions
Design & Research
- Delivers screen designs that meet user needs and feature requirements for digital experiences in iOS, Android, and Web.
- Maintains the visual language, design framework, and design/component library based on current
- Develop high level and/or detailed storyboards, mockups, and prototypes to communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Collaborate with business partners to explore new and innovate product ideas to improve the digital experience.
- Participate in research efforts, such as branch visits and usability testing, to gather Member feedback and translate it into design insights.
- Partner with developers to understand limitations & capabilities of the various platforms and incorporate findings into your designs.
- Help guide junior designers & interns in their design journey, ensuring they are learning our design process correctly and growing in their skill levels.

- Complete required regulatory training as
- Maintain strict adherence and compliance to all laws, rules, regulations and internal controls specific to your role, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, USA Patriot Act, OFAC and Fair Lending regulations.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Proficiency using Figma to build and maintain a design system, high-res wireframes and variable components.
- Strong understanding of atomic design principles and user-centered design
- Familiar with design programs including Figma, Mural, Photoshop, Illustrator, and AI tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate concepts clearly with project teams and leadership.

Experience
Minimum Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Design, Interaction Design, Computer Science, or related fields OR three (3) years of experience in UX or related field.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and mobile
- A comprehensive online portfolio showcasing design work for web and mobile applications, as well as digital consumer experiences.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience using design methods in an agile or continuous delivery
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Design, Interaction Design, Computer Science, or related fields.
