Role and Responsibilities:


  • Having at least 2 years of experience working on unix/linux servers maintenance in physical/on-prem environments.
  • Administer and support Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) environments, including installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and improve optimisation.
  • Excellent Client handling and communication skills are must.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  • Automate routine administrative tasks using shell scripting or other automation tools.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and system access control following security guidelines on both Unix and Cloudera Data Platform level.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, including configuration details, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Collaborate with several cross functional teams to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Perform data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Support will be in 24/7 rotating shifts covering Morning, Afternoon, Night (on public holidays and weekends). Roster will be rotated on a monthly basis.
  • Allowance will be provided for shifts covering afternoons, night shifts on weekdays, all weekend and public holidays shifts.
