Job Description For The Unix

Ø Experience in Install and configure Linux servers on physical and virtual machines.

Ø Experience in Create and manage VMs, installation of VM tools, and custom virtual hardware provisioning as per guest OS.

Ø Primary responsible of Unix administrative activities, server configuration, patching knowledge.

Ø Experience in Provision and maintain Linux servers in production and development environments.

Ø Develop optimizations for system performance and future scalability.

Ø Experience in Support/Administration related to Information and Data Security

Ø Intermediate to advanced knowledge of UNIX/Linux, shell scripting.

Ø Experience in System administration in Linux with focus on user administration LDAP, Kerberos authentication and implementation.

Ø Troubleshooting on filesystem space issues.

Ø Able to handle production outages and resolve the issues within the defined SLA.

Ø Receiving and handling requests for service, following agreed procedures. Promptly allocating calls as appropriate.

Ø Ensure that the tickets are raised, updated, and closed within SLA and ensure timely escalations.

Ø Following up with vendors, service providers & partners hardware & software whenever required & resolve issues by minimizing down times.

Ø Generation of weekly & monthly reports

Ø Ability to work in a team environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities while staying a team player.

Ø Maintain accurate documentation on systems, applications, processes, and hardware configurations.

Ø Experience in Good knowledge on ITIL process (Change, Incidents management)

Ø Excellent written and oral communication skills, fluent in English.

Ø Experience in handling Incident Management/Production Outage / Client Calls

Ø Experience in Problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities. Interested and experienced in Server/ Application/ Job Log Analysis and RCA

Ø Strong understanding of Unix operating systems (e.g., Linux, Solaris, AIX) and related technologies
