Summary
Hunt Planner is client’s hunting product catalog that informs customers of opportunities available across the state with supporting statistical data for drawing odds and historical harvest. The existing Hunt Planner is based on a technology platform that is end-of-life which increases the risks associated with business continuity and information security. The Director’s Office has placed a high priority on the project to replace the existing solution. The Senior Consultant will supplement internal skillsets and contribute significantly to the development of an evolutionary, replacement solution. Our desire is to bring a resource onboard with considerable breadth and depth of skillsets for an approximate 8-month duration.
This is NOT a senior developer role
Candidates for this Senior Consultant in this role will have a technical development background, but they must be professionally accomplished in a technical IT leadership role with substantial hands-on technical experience in web architecture, UX/UI architecture, design & development, and implementation of scalable web, data, and geospatial platforms into website architecture.
Senior Consultant Responsibilities:
Work within an agile development team comprised of agency personnel and contractors.
Participate in a scrum-based product delivery model.
Promptly report impediments and blocking challenges to the product delivery team.
Provide thought leadership to product architecture and design aligning with current and future agency business needs.
Design architectures to include the software, hardware, and information to support the total requirements, as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces.
Engineer software for delivery of a web-based application supported by multiple data sources and integration with an enterprise geospatial system.
Design and develop an intuitive, public-facing UI/UX based on current trends and industry best practices.
Create new and/or leverage existing APIs to develop modular and scalable solutions to meet agency needs.
Contribute to test objectives, plans and defect reporting methodologies of the product development team.
Participate in quality assurance reviews ensuring compliance with expectations and metrics.
Lead product reviews and demos.
Create training materials and/or conduct training sessions with agency personnel and customers.
Requirements & Expectations
Candidates for onsite (preferred) and remote work will be considered.
Normal work hours are Monday thru Friday, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM & 1:00 PM - 5:00 to align with typical product delivery team activities (Mountain Time Zone).
Work on weekends and outside normal business hours will be required to facilitate product deployments.
Job Types: Temporary, Contract, Part-time, Full-time
Pay: $53.00 - $58.00 per hour
