Overview
Seeking a UI/UX Designer to support a high-impact federal mission in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing user-centered digital experiences across classified systems, ensuring usability, accessibility, and visual consistency. This role requires hands-on collaboration with product managers, developers, and mission stakeholders in a fast-paced, secure environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct user research and translate findings into wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications
Develop and maintain design systems and style guides tailored for secure, mission-critical applications
Optimize workflows and user interactions within security constraints
Work alongside front-end developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs
Advocate for user-centered design in a classified, agile development environment
Minimum Qualifications
Active Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field, or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably supporting government or classified systems
Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, or similar design/prototyping tools
Strong communication skills and ability to present design concepts to stakeholders
Willingness and eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly
