Summary

Job Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain Ubuntu-based platforms, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of the system.
  • Create and manage software packages using standard packaging tools such as dpkg and apt.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and deploy Ubuntu solutions to meet technical requirements.
  • Automate repetitive tasks through scripting and configuration management tools.
  • Conduct system performance analysis and provide recommendations for enhancements.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Ubuntu platforms and applications.
  • Document processes, configurations, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing within the team.

Skills Required

  • Strong experience with Ubuntu Linux operating systems, including installation, configuration, and management.
  • Proficiency in package management and software deployment processes.
  • Experience with shell scripting and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
  • Good understanding of networking, system security, and performance tuning principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with different stakeholders.

Requirement & Qualification

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in Linux system administration, specifically with Ubuntu platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., LPIC, Ubuntu Professional) are a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call support and after-hours work as needed.
