They possess a strong understanding of chemical processes (e.g. adsorption, desorption, condensation, distillation, oxidation, etc.), enabling them to effectively communicate product capabilities, identify customer requirements, and propose tailored solutions. Extensive global travel is an integral part of this role, offering exposure to diverse cultures and projects.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise to the sales team: assist sales representatives/partners in VOC abatement technologies, equipment, and applications to effectively communicate product benefits to customers.
  • Highly mobile and adaptable to travel internationally for business trips on short notice, ranging from a few days to several consecutive weeks;
  • Identify customer needs: conduct in-depth customer interactions to gather information about their specific needs and potential challenges.
  • Develop customized VOC abatement solutions: analyze customer needs and propose tailored solutions that align with DEC's offerings, demonstrating the value proposition to customers.
  • Deliver technical presentations: craft compelling presentations that showcase the benefits of DEC's processes, technologies, and services, highlighting how they address specific customer challenges.
  • Provide pre and post-sales support: offer technical assistance to customers before and after the purchase, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience and addressing any potential issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with VOC abatement technologies trends: continuously monitor industry developments, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape, ensuring DEC's offerings remain relevant and competitive.
  • Contribute to the product development: provide feedback to DEC engineering teams, suggesting improvements and enhancements based on customer requests and feedback, monitoring market trends.
  • Utilize informatics to gain insights: utilize data analytics and reporting tools to gain insights into customer behavior, preferences, and industry trends.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and customer interactions, highly organized, able to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain a well-structured workflow.
  • Prioritize customer satisfaction and align their technical expertise with customer requirements, be empathetic, understanding, and responsive to customer needs, actively listening to their concerns and addressing them effectively.
  • Work in cross-functional engineering teams and interact with diverse DEC departments, making strong interpersonal skills essential, able to collaborate effectively, build relationships.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Engineering (bachelor, master, PhD) degree in Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field within the STEM discipline (e.g., materials science, environmental engineering).
  • A 5÷8 years of trackable experience in technical sales and applications engineering in chemical/environmental processes or related industries;
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with proven ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences;
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using industry-standard software and tools;
  • High proficiency in using MS Office or Google Workspace (Sheet, Docs, Presentation, Mail…);
  • High proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets to create, manipulate, and analyze data, experienced with formulas, functions, and pivot tables to extract insights from data, ability to automate tasks using scripts (e.g. Google Apps Script);
  • Good/Excellent knowledge of the AutoCAD (2D);
  • English language: excellent skills (CEFR C1/C2 level or native), speaking, listening, reading, and writing).

  • Willingness to perform overtime when required, as per the applicable national collective labor agreement (CCNL);
  • willingness to work remotely (WFH/TSW -> "Smart Working") when required, with adequate work space and internet connection;

Preferred qualifications

  • Valid Passport (with 12+ months remaining validity and No Travel Restrictions) or other valid work visas or residence permits that would allow you to work in the EU;
  • Valid EU or International Driver's License (EU Category B equivalent);
  • Personal vehicle access (owned or leased), with ability to commute independently and reliably;
  • Residence in the vicinity of the assigned workplace.
