About You We’re recruiting a APAC Treasury Manager reporting to the Head of Group Treasury based in London.
Key areas of responsibility for the APAC region include intragroup funding, cash and working capital management, FX risk management, treasury operations including bank account mandate and e-banking management, maintaining relationships with banks as well as with numerous internal stakeholders. What You’ll Be Doing Accountabilities:
Maintain policies and processes to ensure Treasury risks are managed effectively including foreign exchange, interest rate, credit and liquidity risk.
Oversight of the front office treasury operations, ensuring all daily and month-end processes are performed to a high standard and controls are maintained, and ensuring short-term cash position and funding arrangements are well managed within approved counterparty limits.
Develop and foster relationships with banks
Managing FX risk for the region
Determining the appropriate funding structure for the Group’s subsidiaries in the region, in consultation with the Group Tax department and the regional finance directors.
Arrange inter-company and external financing as appropriate.
Leading regional working capital management initiatives, with visibility to the finance leadership team
Preparing monthly cash flow reporting packs on treasury risk and financing.
Leadership, review and oversight of semi-annual Financial Accounting including liaison with Auditors, review and support in the preparation of internal reporting packs, and drafting relevant commentary for the Report and Accounts
Conduct multidimensional financial analysis to identify patterns, trends, and potential risks and opportunities. This includes using statistical techniques, data visualization tools, and industry benchmarks to gain insights into the company's financial health and performance.
Collaborate with other functions across the company, such to develop and implement policies and procedures that align with the company's overall business objectives. This includes key cash flow metrics that are integrated with operational plans.
Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and emerging trends in treasury and working capital management making recommendation to senior management to support the optimisation of cash flow and liquidity.
Deliver insight and analysis to support strategic financing decisions, including analytical and financial modelling of the Group’s funding requirements, liquidity risks, capital structure and credit rating metrics.
Management and oversight of customer and vendor supply chain finance programs as appliable
Ensure effective operation of controls over end-to-end Treasury processes and lead an agenda of continuous improvement.
Maintain a strong working relationship with the back office Treasury team based in the Group shared service centre (‘GSS’) and the Treasury Accountant. Providing leadership and guidance to Back-Office operations, and accounting teams ensuring delivery of appropriate controls and reporting outputs, with coaching and personal development for the team Location This role is assigned to operate in Shanghai, Xuhui district What You’ll have
Educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally with an accountancy, treasury or similar professional qualification.
Advanced communication skills to persuade and influence stakeholders. The role needs to adapt styles, interpret and explain information to different audiences from inside and outside the organisation who are not familiar with the subject matter.
Influence and impact within. Able to direct the application of existing principles and provide insights to senior management about the development of new policies, ideas and approaches.
An experienced senior treasury professional with an excellent proven track record, preferably within an international corporation or banking environment.
Strong financial modelling skills and good capabilities with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Experience in dealing with foreign exchange and money market transactions
Experience of using Treasury Management Systems (knowledge of Quantum and SAP is advantageous)
