Responsibilities
What you'll be challenged to do:
The Raleigh office is looking for a part time/full time spring, summer or fall intern to help with a variety of projects encompassing several different aspects of transportation planning and engineering. Intern will be responsible for assisting project engineers and project managers with design and administrative tasks.
- Assist staff with routine engineering tasks as assigned
- Provide weekly status updates
- Conduct field investigations and data collection
- Assist with plan production
- Assists in the preparation of various transportation engineering projects, including design and analysis.
- Gathers engineering data from a variety of sources.
- Identifies design criteria
- Evaluates existing and proposed geometric conditions.
- Participates in site visits, project investigations and project meetings.
- Provides design efforts that adhere to quality and schedule requirements
- Assists in preparing and reviewing engineering reports and exhibits
- Assists in developing preliminary quantities and cost estimates
Qualifications
What you bring to our firm:
- Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
- Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.
