Your impact

Jacobs is seeking a GIS Analyst to join our innovative transportation team. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in geospatial data to support projects, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

When you join us as a GIS Analyst, you’ll be responsible for

  • Process and analyze geospatial data to support various projects within transportation
  • Identify trends and patterns in large datasets to provide actionable insights.
  • Ensure data quality through rigorous QC/QA processes.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive databases.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions.

Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • Previous experience as a GIS Analyst in the transportation industry.
  • Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS) database management systems, and data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Relocation is not available for this position; final candidate must be local to the Baltimore- Metro Region


Posted Salary Range Minimum

65,000.00

Posted Salary Range Upper

75,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $65,000.00 to $75,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
