Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to oversee and deliver high-quality translation projects in a fast-paced environment. The Project Manager will act as the primary liaison between clients and the translation team, ensuring client expectations are not only met but exceeded. This role involves end-to-end project ownership, from client communication and planning to quality assurance and final delivery.

Proficiency with Plunet and Phrase (or other TMS) is essential.

Responsibilities

Client & Project Management

  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, handling project inquiries, timelines, scope changes, and feedback.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets for multiple simultaneous translation projects.
  • Clearly communicate client requirements and expectations to internal teams and vendors.
  • Provide proactive updates and solutions to clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure the security and confidentiality of all translated materials.

Vendor Coordination

  • Collaborate with the Vendor Management team to source and assign qualified linguists for each project.
  • Oversee the execution of Vendor Agreements and ensure onboarding standards are upheld.
  • Address vendor concerns, performance issues, and feedback as needed.

Quality Assurance

  • Review translations and collaborate with linguists to resolve linguistic or contextual issues.
  • Ensure final deliverables meet both client specifications and internal quality benchmarks.

Technology & Tools

  • Leverage translation management systems, especially Plunet and Phrase (or other TMS), to streamline project execution and reporting.
  • Keep up-to-date with knowledge of emerging tools and industry technology.

Team Leadership & Training

  • Guide and support junior staff on project execution best practices.
  • Deliver training and mentorship to internal and freelance team members.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.


Requisitos


Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the Translation and Localization industry.
  • Proven experience in project management within a language services environment.
  • Strong communication skills and client management experience.
  • Proficiency in Plunet and Phrase or other TMS (e.g., SmartCat, MemoQ).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and complex workflows.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Translation, Linguistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
