Transit Operators are responsible for the operation of County Connection vehicles to transport passengers safely over specified routes to local or distant points according to time schedules. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Assisting passengers while boarding and exiting vehicles
Monitoring fare box.
Collecting tickets and passes.
Providing information to passengers concerning fares, schedules, and routes.
Requirements
Must have a valid California driver’s license and a good driving record. A good driving record is one that:
Has no more than two (2) points for moving violations.
Has no convictions for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Has no warrants for failures to appear.
Has no incident of negligent, careless, or reckless driving.
Must be able to obtain a Class B Commercial Driver’s permit, including the required endorsements.
Must successfully complete the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
