Job Title: Training Sales Advisor

Reporting To: Relationship and Sales Operations Manager
Location: Office Based, Jarrow
Salary: Competitive £23500 + OTE
Role Purpose
To drive revenue growth by selling Simply Learning’s training solutions to businesses and individuals. The role focuses on building relationships, identifying client needs, and providing tailored training solutions, whilst providing exceptional customer service and advocacy. Adhering to the businesses overall brand, vision, mission and core values.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Proactively identify and engage new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business. Handling enquiries within the company’s quality expectations.
- Conduct outbound sales activities, including cold calling, networking, and follow-ups.
- Present and promote Simply Learning’s training courses, both online and in-person.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed targets.
- Work closely with own team and others to continually seek to improve internal processes, making the business more efficient, competitive and profitable.
Client Engagement & Consultation
- Understand client needs and propose relevant training solutions.
- Provide accurate advice on training courses, funding options, and certification requirements.
- Conduct meetings (virtual or face-to-face) to pitch training programs effectively. Representing the company at exhibitions and open days etc.
Marketing & Campaign Support
- Work closely with the marketing team to support sales initiatives and promotional campaigns.
- Provide insights from customer interactions to help shape marketing messaging.
- Contribute to the development of sales materials and targeted outreach strategies.
- Leverage marketing campaigns to generate leads and increase engagement.
Market & Industry Awareness
- Keep up to date with industry trends, regulations, and competitor offerings.
- Identify opportunities for new training products and services.
Administration & CRM Management
- Maintain accurate records of interactions in the CRM system.
- Track and report on sales performance and pipeline.
- Ensure compliance with company sales processes and policies.
Skills & Competencies
- Sales & Negotiation: Proven ability to sell and close deals.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer Focus: Ability to understand client needs and provide solutions.
- Self-Motivation: Results-driven with the ability to work independently.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using CRM software and digital sales tools.
- Marketing Collaboration: Ability to align sales efforts with marketing initiatives.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of construction, utilities, and green skills training is desirable.
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience in B2B or B2C sales, ideally within training, education, or a related sector.
- Knowledge of training and apprenticeship funding (preferred).
- Experience with CRM software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
- Experience working alongside marketing teams (preferred).
- Full UK driving license (travel is required).
