Location: Birmingham (with UK-wide travel)

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £50,000 - £75,000 + Package

About the Role

The QSHE Training Manager will play a critical role in driving learning and development initiatives with a specific focus on Quality, Safety, Health and Environment (QSHE) across the UK business. The role is responsible for designing and delivering construction-specific training programmes that meet legal, operational, and client requirements, aligned to international standards and internal values.


Working closely with the Head of EHS and key operational stakeholders, the QSHE Training Manager will create structured training calendars, manage external providers, ensure compliance with internal systems and external accreditation requirements, and support strategic people development through tailored learning paths.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and manage a comprehensive QSHE training strategy
  • Maintain a training needs matrix, evaluate compliance and identify gaps
  • Build relationships with training providers and awarding bodies
  • Design and deliver engaging, accredited training content for a variety of stakeholders
  • Lead monthly reporting on training performance, budget tracking, and compliance
  • Ensure alignment of training content with legislation, industry standards, and company policies
  • Provide technical support for LMS platforms and digital learning tools
  • Support individuals on their professional development journeys with structured advice and feedback


About You

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training
  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate
  • Member of IOSH (minimum Cert IOSH or Grad IOSH)
  • CITB SSSTS or SMSTS
  • Internal Auditor Training (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)
  • Proven experience designing and delivering QSHE training in a construction setting
  • Strong knowledge of UK QSHE legislation and international standards
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage at all levels of the business
  • Highly organised, analytical, and able to manage multiple training programmes across different locations


Desirable

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
  • Lead Auditor qualification
  • CSCS Card (Manager or AQP level)
  • Experience working with CITB grant systems and levy
  • Knowledge of LMS and e-learning authoring tools
  • Background in construction management or site operations


Other Requirements

  • Valid driving licence
  • Willingness to travel across the UK, with occasional overseas travel
