Our client, a Princeton University department, has an urgent need for a Training Documentation Analyst. Training Documentation Analyst will be responsible for managing all student records at the University and supports all academic functions that utilize student records. The Training Documentation Analyst will work closely with staff and affiliates to develop and maintain Princeton-specific user documentation for a new degree audit and advising system being implemented at Princeton called Stellic. This role will be responsible for creating and maintaining a functional documentation library that will support user training during the implementation of Stellic. The Training Documentation Analyst will also collaborate with subject matter experts and trainers to develop various training resources and ensure the educational content is both current and aligned with organizational needs.


Location: Princeton, NJ (Hybrid)

Hours: 30hrs/week

Duration: 6months+

Rate: $35-$40/hr.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive user documentation library for the degree audit, advising, and course registration modules of Stellic. This includes process guides, data dictionaries, process flow charts, etc.
  • Work with the trainers to develop training assets for different audiences. This includes training presentations, training exercises and case studies, e-learning modules, training videos, etc.
  • Work with subject matter experts to create self-service user support assets such as knowledge base articles, FAQs, user guides, and quick reference cards. Work with the Office to publish and maintain this information on the website in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to validate work products to ensure documentation, training, and support materials reflect current Princeton practices.
  • Collect feedback on training and support materials from users, and work with the project team to enhance them accordingly.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3-4 years of experience creating documentation and developing user training and support materials, including short videos and presentations
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with great attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft productivity tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Experience with document and content management tools such as One Drive and Drupal.
  • Familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Express) to create training vignettes.


Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working in higher education.
