Job Description:
KPA Engineers is seeking a highly motivated individual to function as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT). In this position, you will develop a broad knowledge and understanding of applicable codes, engineering practices, design specifications, rules, and regulations that are applicable to the field and specific projects. Ideal candidates will have internship experience and a drive to be successful.
Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for a motivated individual with an appetite to develop and expand their knowledge. Individual duties include, but are not limited to:
Prepares portions of plans, specifications, and other project documentation while performing moderate design tasks.
Conducts research, data collection, design calculations, submittal reviews, pay application preparation, bid tabulations OPCs, and the like as assigned.
Visit construction sites in order to gain practical design experience.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited program.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate.
At least one internship experience in civil engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in AutoCAD Civil3D and civil drafting.
Solid organizational and time management skills.
Independent and critical thinking skills.
Professional written and verbal communication skills.
