The UofSC Big Data Health Science Center (BDHSC) is a campus-wide interdisciplinary enterprise that conducts cutting-edge research and discovery, offers professional development and academic training, and provides service to the community and industry in the areas of health science Big Data analytics. Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications Master degree plus a minimum one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities This position requires flexibility and self-management skills, including the ability to prioritize among many diverse responsibilities, coordinate multiple projects and assignments, meet deadlines and function in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and high quality customer service, outreach and marketing skills are required. The candidate is expected to possess a high degree of professionalism, problem-solving ability, project management and leadership skills as well as a demonstrated ability to strategize and think analytically to manage multiple training grants. Job Duties Job Duty Assist with all pre and post-award activities for training grants as needed including budgeting, training activities, and management/mentoring plans. Lead the activities for program marketing, recruitment process, and offer letters. Process, track and coordinate trainee/fellowship appointments and human resources requirements, in USC systems w/ several USC offices, and in sponsor systems. Prepare and maintain trainee expense tracking sheets. Support delivery of all BDHSC training activities. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 60 Job Duty Prepare and maintain trainee expense tracking sheets and prepare reports and collate data information for input into NIH systems if required. Maintain record keeping of trainee participation and mentor lists. Reporting via sponsor portals and tracking of current and past trainee statistics, publications, abstracts, and trainee status for annual progress reports.
