Obtaining a training contract at Kennedys will be the start of an exciting and successful career in a global law firm. Upon joining the firm trainees are paired with a mentor, usually a Kennedys trained mid-level to senior solicitor. The mentor acts as the go to person for you to obtain help and guidance and we also have a partner dedicated to overseeing your training contract.
During your two year training contract, you will gain early responsibility and client contact so that you will be capable of running your own caseload once you are qualified. An appraisal on your performance will be conducted at the end of each six-month seat.
With the support of and under the supervision of senior associates and partners, you will develop into a competent, confident and commercially driven lawyer by the end of your training contract.
Successful applicants will be invited to an interview. There are two separate progressive interviews. The first consists of a written test and meeting with a partner and an of counsel. Successful interviewees will be invited for a second interview where they will be asked to give an oral presentation to two partners.
To be considered for a training contract in Hong Kong, you will need:
To have completed or be on course to complete the PCLL by June 2027
To have achieved or be on course to achieve a 2:1 degree or equivalent.
